DONNA R. KIRBY
DUDLEY -- Donna Jane Routh Kirby, 47, of 661 Sand Hill Drive died Friday night at U.N.C. Hospitals in Chapel Hill.
A service to remember her life will be held Monday at 6 p.m. in the chapel of Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home and at other times at the residence.
Donna was the daughter of the late Fred Stevens Routh and Gladys Elizabeth Snider Routh. She was a member of the Adamsville Baptist Church in Goldsboro and was employed at Wayne Community College as administrative team leader in the basic skills department. She received a bachelor of science degree in business and marketing from Barton College in 1998.
She is survived by her husband, Ernie Kirby of the home; her step-mother, Treva Pugh Routh of Goldsboro; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Sandy Tart of Goldsboro, Karen Routh of Randelman and Kim and Dwayne Dean of Goldsboro; a sister-in-law and her husband, Carol Kirby Jackson and James Jackson of Cape Carteret; nieces and nephews, Casey Jackson of Baltimore, Amber Kirby and Brock Kirby, both of Mount Olive, Stephen Tart, Caroline Tart, Hunter Dean and Kennedy Dean, all of Goldsboro; and a special best friend since third grade, Connie Whaley of Goldsboro.
Her family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 3015 S. Memorial Drive, Suite A, Greenville, N.C. 27834.
