JESSIE J. SMITH
LAGRANGE -- Jessie Johnson Smith of 407 Firetower Road, died Thursday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Smith was born in Greene County to the late Herbert and Minnie Ginn Johnson. She was a member of New Hope Road Church Of God.
The funeral will be held tonight at 7 in the chapel of Rouse Funeral Home with Rev. Elbert Reeves officiating. Interment will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband of fifty-six years, Ben Smith; son, Keith Smith of LaGrange; four sisters, Eva Bass of Rocky Mount, Blanche Head of Virginia, Tiny Ham of Goldsboro and Evelyn Chase of Snow Hill; three brothers, Bruce Johnson of Snow Hill, Cornelius Johnson of Snow Hill and Hugh Johnson of Kenly; and three grandchildren, Justin David Smith, Benjamin Earl Smith and Destiny Smith.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service tonight, and other times at the home.
