DONALD R. CREECH
Donald Ray Creech, 52, of 122 Hailey Lane died Thursday at Wayne Memorial Hospital. He was born in Johnston County to the late Thomas and Doris Campbell Creech and was married to Melinda Sue Whaley Creech. A veteran of the United States Army, he was a member of Harvest Temple Fellowship Worship Center. He worked as a meat cutter with Piggly Wiggly.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 7 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home of Goldsboro. The Rev. Jay Weaver will be officiating. Graveside services with military honors will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Little Cemetery in Pine Level.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Donald Ray "Trey" Creech Jr. and wife, Pam of Goldsboro; one daughter Rebecca Harper and husband, Mike, of Fayetteville; two step-sons, David Williams of Minnesota and Mark Williams and wife, Lindsay, of Missouri; three brothers, Ronnie Creech and wife, Dolly of Wilson, Jimmie Creech and wife, Susie, of Goldsboro and Timmy Creech of Goldsboro; two sisters, Rose Howell of Pikeville and Susan Barnett and husband, Heinz, of Chesapeake, Va.; eight grandchildren; and special friends, Kirk and Marlene Daughtry of Goldsboro.
The family will be receiving friends immediately following the funeral service at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Ronnie & Wanda Whaley, 211 Serenity Dr.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Donald Creech Memorial Fund, PO Box 167, Goldsboro N.C. 27533.
