NANCY GRANTHAM
Nancy Flowers Grantham, 88, of 165-B Grantham Farm Lane, died Tuesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Falling Creek United Methodist Church with Rev. Craig Langston officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Grantham was a native of Wayne County. She was a the daughter of the late John William and Mary Reaves Flowers and the widow of Joe M. Grantham Jr. She was retired from Southern Bank in Mount Olive. She was a member of Falling Creek United Methodist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher and was a member of the United Methodist Women.
She is survived by three daughters, Gail Ward of Mount Olive, Dottie Keen and her husband, Don, of Grantham and Betty Franklin and her husband, Joe, of Rosewood; two sons, John Philip Grantham and his wife, Dianne, and William "Billy" David Grantham of Grantham; her grandchildren, Debbie Lindquist, Lisa Hanks, Suzanne Sarda, Carlton Keen, Joseph Franklin, III, David Franklin, Amanda Price, Hannah Grantham and Cullen Grantham; her great grandchildren, Greta Hanks, Evelyn Hanks, Vincent Hanks, Richard Lindquist, Abby Lindquist, Elizabeth Sarda and David Sarda; her brother, J. W. Flowers and wife, Doris of California; and sister-in-law, Lois Flowers of Kinston.
She was preceded in death by a son, Joe M. "Buddy" Grantham III; a sister, Lucille Thigpen; and a brother, Don Flowers.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 at Seymour Funeral Home, and other times at the residence.
Although flowers are welcome, memorial donations may be made to Falling Creek United Methodist Church, 299 Falling Creek Church Road, Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.
