MAGGIE COLEMAN
Maggie Lee Newsome Coleman, 71, formerly of Eureka, died Monday at Providence Hospital in Washington, D.C.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Eureka. The Rev. Odell Forte will officiate. Burial will be in the Becton Family Cemetery.
Mrs. Coleman was the daughter of the late Erastus and Canara Becton Newsome.
She is survived by her husband, James A. Coleman of Washington, D.C.; a daughter, Adrienne M. Coleman of Washington, D.C.; three sisters, Jacqueline Hibbert of South Orange, N.J., Geraldine Harvey-Newsome of Snow Hill and Phoebe Newsome of Mount Olive; and a granddaughter.
The viewing will be today from 4 until 9 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel in Goldsboro and the family will be there to receive friends from 7 until 8 p.m.
