IWAN TYMOSCHENKO
Retired U.S. Air Force Master Sergeant Iwan (Tim/Tom) Tymoschenko, 75, of 125 Oak Circle Drive, died Wednesday, June 16, 2004 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh.
A caring and giving husband and father, Tim was born in Kopatchi, Ukraine, on January 18, 1929, and was the son of the late Anton and Wasja Tymoschenko.
He was a veteran of United States Army, serving in the Korean Conflict, and was a veteran of United States Air Force, serving in the Vietnam War. He retired from the United States Air Force after 26 years of service.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Darren Brisco officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park with full military honors.
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Shizue N. Tymoschenko; his daughter, Maria F. Tymoschenko of Cary; and his son, U.S. Air Force Major Volodja A. Tymoschenko of Goldsboro. He is also survived by several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins of Maryland, Virginia, Louisiana, California, Japan and the United Kingdom.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 7 until 9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
