STEFAN S. FURTADO
CALYPSO -- Stefan Scot Furtado, of 419 Second Street, died Friday.
He was the 11-year-old son of Ed Lewandowski and Sarah Furtado, both of the home. He had just completed the fifth grade at North Duplin Elementary School at Calypso where he was a member of the school's Art Club. He attended the First Pentecostal Holiness Church of Mount Olive and was active in its Royal Rangers and various other youth activities.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Alyssa Lewandowski of the home; his maternal grandmother, Lani Brockman of Lake County, Calif.; and his maternal grandfather, Eugene Furtado of the home.
A service to remember Stefan's life will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive with the Rev. Douglas Bartlett officiating. The family will remain afterward to receive friends, and at other times they will be at the residence.
