MOCKSVILLE -- David Wilson Turner, 61, father of Brad Turner of LaGrange, died Tuesday at Forsyth Medical Center.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel with Pastor Kristy Rolison officiating.
Mr. Turner was a U.S. Navy veteran and worked for the U.S. Forest Service as a pilot as well as a crop duster. He also worked for the U.S. Airways Express CCAIR until he went to work for Pace Airlines as chief pilot.
In addition to his son, Mr. Turner is survived by his wife, Nancy Johnson Turner of the home; one daughter, Beth Mosher of Pittsboro; one stepson, Chris Johnson of Mocksville; two sisters, Delphia Parrott of Morehead City and Mary Ann Wagner of Four Oaks; and two grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the memorial service.
