JANE TYNDALL
Jane McClees Tyndall, 55, died Tuesday at her residence after a courageous battle with cancer.
A native of Craven County, she was the daughter of Harriett Marett McClees of Oriental and the late William Paul McClees Sr. She was the widow of Dickie Tyndall. Mrs. Tyndall taught in the Wayne County School System and retired as a teacher and coach at Charles B. Aycock High School.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday at Stoney Creek Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary Bailey officiating. A private burial will be at the McClees family site, Oriental Cemetery, in Oriental, N. C.
Surviving in addition to her mother are her daughter, Paula Tyndall-Steele and husband, Dr. Eric Steele of Wilmington; one brother, Dr. William McClees and wife, Peggy of Havelock; and extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to Home Health & Hospice, 2402 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534; or the charity of one's choice.
The family will receive friends at the church following the service on Thursday night.
Arrangements are with Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
