FRED T. HARPER
PIKEVILLE -- Fred Thomas Harper, 80 died Saturday, May 15, 2004 at his home.
He was born in Wayne County to the late Adrian and Beatrice Aycock Harper. Mr. Harper served in the United States Navy during World War II and retired from Cherry Hospital as a turbine operator. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints of Goldsboro.
The funeral will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home with Bishop Rex Howard officiating. Burial will be in Wayne Memorial Park.
Mr. Harper is survived by his wife Annie B. Harper; two sons Owen, Scott Harper of Pikeville and David Dwight Harper of Goldsboro; one daughter, Delores Harper Loftin of Kinston; one brother, David O. Harper of Pikeville; one sister, Elva H. Parker of Garner; and five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
