JAMES WHITFIELD
LAGRANGE -- The funeral for James Ivey "Billy" Whitfield, 63, Services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Jumping Run Free Will Baptist Church. Elder Anthony Lawson will officiate. Burial will be in Hines Cemetery.
Mr. Whitfield died Friday at Britthaven Nursing Home.
He is survived by one daughter, Tia Wiggins of Chocowinity; two sons, Eulissie Simmons of Radcliff, Ky., and Jackie Artis of Kinston; four sisters, Macie Greer of New York, Juanita W. Powell and Shirley G. Whitfield of LaGrange, and Remonia W. Grant of Kinston; two brothers, Dennis M. Whitfield Sr. and Edward D. Whitfield Sr. of La Grange; and four grandchildren.
The viewing hours will be from 1 until 8 p.m. today at Mills Funeral Home.
