DOROTHY G. BOYETTE
KENLY -- Dorothy Gregory Boyette, 73, of 1132 Hales Rd., died Saturday at Avante of Wilson.
Funeral services will be held at Coley Funeral Home at 2 p.m. on Monday. The Rev. Curtis Jones will officiate. Burial will follow in the Kenly Cemetery.
Mrs. Boyette was born on Nov. 16, 1930, in Snow Hill. Her parents were the late Minnie Mae Parks Gregory Elmore and the late W.W. "Pete" Elmore. She graduated from Pikeville High School in 1948. She was a graduate of Atlantic Christian College in 1952. She was married on July 17, 1953.
Mrs. Boyette was preceded in death by a brother, Amaziah Walter Elmore.
She is survived by her husband, Col. Robert T. "Bob" Boyette USAF (Ret.); daughter and son-in-law, Linda B. and Dorman Naylor Jr. of Dunn; son and daughter-in-law, Gregory T. and Christine Boyette of Va.; two sisters, Bobbie G. Boyce of Newton Grove and Anne E. Gurley of Pikeville; two brothers, Jeremia P. Elmore II of Greensboro and Albert P. Elmore of Atlanta; and four grandchildren, Tori and Ariel Naylor and Evan and Josh Boyette.
The family will receive friends at the home from 4 until 7 p.m. this afternoon.
