CHARLIE BROGDEN
Charlie Curtis Brogden, 79, of Woodard Retirement Village, died Tuesday morning at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A graveside service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park. The Rev. Gerald Holloman will officiate.
Mr. Brogden was born in Wayne County to the late Charlie Herbert and Lena Hinson Brogden and was married to the late Annie Mae Temple Brogden. He was retired from Borden Manufacturing.
He is survived by one daughter, Margaret West of LaGrange; seven grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
His other daughter, Linda Goff, preceded him in death.
The family will receive friends at the cemetery immediately following the graveside service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Charlie C. Brogden Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 167, Goldsboro, N.C., 27533.
Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home and Crematory of Goldsboro is serving the family.
