FRANK MARTIN
SEA GIRT, N.J. -- Frank F. Martin, 77, died Tuesday, March 23, in Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune.
Born in Goldsboro, he lived in New York City before moving to Sea Girt 29 years ago.
He was a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a master's degree in business and did post-graduate studies at the University of Alabama. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the occupation of Japan following World War II. He served as a faculty member at Virginia Military Institute and was adjunct professor of finance at New York University, Monmouth University and Georgian Court College.
He was an investment banker with Halsey Stuart, Goldman Sachs and Citi Group before retiring and was a member of the New York Athletic Club and the Municipal Bond Club.
Mr. Martin is survived by his wife, Dorothy Pietrucha, M.D.; his daughters, Blair Williams of Lexington, Va., Victoria Ambrose of New Cannan, Conn., Catherine Barber of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Elizabeth Martin of Sea Girt; and eight grandchildren.
Private services were held under the direction of O'Brien Funeral Home, Wall.
