WAITE BEST SR.
Waite Thompson Best Sr., 71, of 175 Powell Road, died Tuesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A native of Wayne County, he was the son of the late Clifton Robert Best and Doris Parks Best. He was a retired farmer, a member of Daniels Memorial United Methodist Church, and a charter member of Pinewood Fire Department.
The funeral will be held tonight at 7 at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. T.R. Miller officiating. Entombment will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Mr. Best is survived by his wife, Nancy Dawson Best; his children, Waite T. Best Jr. and wife, Patty, Dawn Best, and Ernie Best and wife, Kathy, all of Goldsboro; his grandchildren, Paige Best, Julie Hatchett, and Nicholas Best; his twin sister, Betsy Piner of Savannah, Ga.; his brother, Horace Best and his wife, Betty, of Goldsboro; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive at the funeral home tonight following the service, and other times at the residence.
