MARVIN L. HOUSER
Marvin LeRhyne Houser, 94, of 115 Harding Place, died Tuesday at Britthaven Nursing Home.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church with Dr. Billy Seate and the Rev. Bob Bame officiating. Burial will be in Willow Dale Cemetery
Mr. Houser was the son of the late Marvin L. Houser and Edna Rhyne Houser and was married to the late Anabel Black Houser. He was the founder of Houser Insurance and Real Estate in Goldsboro and served on the Board of Realtors. Mr. Houser attended Oak Ridge Military Academy and graduated from Rutherford College. He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church.
Mr. Houser is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Ann and Frank Court of New Bern and Becky and Allan Umstead of Goldsboro; one sister, Edna Ruth Saunders of Kings Mountain; his grandchildren, Matt Houser of Illinois, John Houser of Florida, Emily Houser of Charlotte, Jane Snead and Susan Robinson of Raleigh and Chuck Umstead and LeAnn Crocker of Goldsboro; 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a son, Charles Jack Houser.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
