KATIE REEVES
Katie Jernigan Price Reeves, 88, a resident of Woodard's Care, died Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Born in Wayne Coun-ty, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Ida Susan Bartlett Jernigan and wife of the late Gaddis Price. She was a lifetime member of the Goldsboro Worship Center and was former Foster Grandparent at O'Berry Center.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Joseph Leonard officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.
Mrs. Reeves is survived by one daughter, Linda Taylor of Goldsboro; a brother, John James Jernigan Jr. of Goldsboro; a sister, Ruby Evans of Goldsboro; three grandsons, Shaun Gurley and Jeff Gurley of Pikeville and Tommy Gurley of Goldsboro; and two great-grandchildren, Amber Gurley and Hayden Gurley both of Pikeville.
The family will greet friends Wednesday from 7 until 9 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, and at other times at the home of Linda Taylor, 211 Timberline Oak Drive.
