DIXIE H. HOOKS
Dixie Hales Hooks, 84, died Monday at her home in Williamston, S.C.
The funeral will be held by the graveside on Friday at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park. Her son-in-law, Dr. Douglas McCaleb will officiate.
Mrs. Hooks was the daughter of the late William Edward Hales and Lillie Lancaster Hales of Pikeville, NC. She was a retired State employee of North Carolina and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Belton, SC.
Mrs. Hooks is survived by one daughter, Mary Margaret McCaleb and husband, Dr. Douglas McCaleb of Anderson, SC; two grandchildren, Brad McCaleb and wife, Jenny and Del-Dee Hindman and husband, Matthew, of Greenville, SC; and three great-grandchildren, William Hindman, Margaret-Joy Hindman, and Harrison McCaleb of Greenville, SC.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Carlye Hooks in August of 1975 and a son, Jonathan Thomas Hooks in October of 1975.

The family is being served by Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
