CLARA W. MONK
Clara Monk, 76, died Monday morning at her home.
The funeral will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Saint Mark Church of Christ with the Rev. Alton Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Monk was a homemaker and a member of Saint Mark Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Robert Wright.
She is survived by her husband, Harry Lee Monk; a special niece, Arleatha "Squeebee" Brewington and her husband, Chester, of Goldsboro; two special nephews, Preston "Bus" Wright and his wife, Angie, and Willie "Fox" Wright and his wife, Virginia, of Richmond, Va.; a special great-niece, Coleader "Angel" Brewington of Goldsboro, N.C.; and two special great-nephews, Jason Patterson of Melbourne, Fla., and Stephan "Chico" Brewington of Pasadena, Calif.; and a special son, Jerome Bryant and his wife, Connie, of Four Oaks; one grandson, Kris and his wife, Tracie Wright, of Maryland; two brothers-in-law, five sisters-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 until 8 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, and other times at the residence at 1108 Wayne Memorial Drive.
