WILLIE WITHERSPOON
The funeral for Willie Westly Witherspoon, 61, who died Sunday, will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Hickory Grove Baptist Church in Turbeville, S.C.
He was the son of the late Janie Bell Witherspoon McCoy and Ernest Player of Turbeville, S.C. His wife, Virginia, preceded him in death.
He is survived by two daughters, Jackie Veney of Raleigh and Wanda Tarazy of Goldsboro; one son, Saquce Witherspoon of Goldsboro; nine sisters, Creola Mickens, Carrie Bell McLamb, Ruth Player, Emma Lee Wells and Ruby Lee Player of Turbeville, S.C., Lillie Walker of Charlotte, Johnnie Easlery, Janet Miller and Angeline Jackson of Goldsboro; four brothers, Roy Lee and Ruben Plyer of Turbeville, S.C., Tyes Miller of Goldsboro and John Garl McCoy of Sebring, Fla.; nine grandchildren, two aunts and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
The viewing will be Sunday from 6 until 7 p.m. at McIntrye Funeral Home Ministries and the family will be there to receive friends. At other times they will receive friends at 2202 Courtyard Circle.
