MOUNT OLIVE -- Ethel Thompson Sasser, 80, died Wednesday night at her home at 308 East Main Street in Mount Olive.
Graveside funeral services will be held today at 3 p.m. in the Calypso Cemetery in Calypso. Conducting the service will be the Rev. J. Paul Rose.
Mrs. Sasser, the last survivor of her siblings, was the daughter of the late Alonzo and Susan Tadlock Thompson and the widow of Randolph Sasser.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews including George O. Lancaster of Wilmington, whose wife was the late Mildred Lancaster; Elbert G. Lancaster and his wife Nancy of Panama City Beach, Fla., and Evangeline Lancaster of Wilmington widow of deceased nephew Hubert E. Lancaster; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation will be today from 1 until 2:30 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home.
