MAYBELLE V. CLARK
Maybelle Virginia Clark, 79, died Thursday morning at Wayne Memorial Hospital. She was the widow of Robert Thomas Clark.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. The Rev. Earl Dulaney will officiate. A private graveside service will be held Sunday at Wayne Memorial Park.
Mrs. Clark was born in Wayne County to the late Malcolm Singleton and Frances Singleton Ham. She worked at Borden Manufacturing Co. for many years. Before her illness, she enjoyed cooking and traveling with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Denise Clark and Lamonte and Kim Clark; one daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Geoff Carr; a very special son-in-law, Kenneth H. Hansford; grandchildren, Melissa Clifton, Tommy and Matthew Clark, Kendra, Kenny and Kevin Hansford and Geoffrey, Summer and John Carr, Kristen, Aimee and Jared Clark; and great-grandchildren, Cieara Pike, Tyler, Clifton and Paige, Meredith and Nicholas Hansford.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Sharon Clark Hansford, and one brother, Olin Singleton.
The family will receive friends immediately following the funeral service.
