SHONTA EDMUNDSON
LAGRANGE -- Shonta Edmundson, 24. of 302 Caswell St., died Sunday.
The funeral will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at St. Rose Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ, in Wilson. The Rev. Charlene Artis and Pastor Leonard Smith will conduct the service. Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery.
Ms. Edmundson graduated from Elizabeth City State University and was an English teacher at Frink Middle School. She was a member of Gima Gamma Rho Sorority and the New Beginning Community Church of Wilson.
She is survived by her mother, Addie E. Edmundson of Black Creek; her father, Ralph Edmundson of Pikeville; one sister, JaTella R. Stewart of Black Creek; seven brothers, Ralphael, Adryan, Marque, Malco, Tyahn, Christopher and Justyn of Pikeville; and her grandparents, Thelma and Curtis Muzone and Delores and Joseph Edwards of Wilson.
The viewing hours will be from 3 until 9 p.m. today at Hamilton Funeral Chapel on South Tarboro Street in Wilson. The family will be there to receive friends from 7 until 8 p.m. At other times they will receive friends at the residence and will assemble there one hour prior to the service on Sunday.
