LEVI WATERS
Levi Waters, 96, died Wednesday at Fox Chase Nursing Home in Silver Spring, Md.
He had been a member and deacon at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Washington, D.C., since 1957 and was a longtime member of Masonic Lodge #425 in Goldsboro.
He is survived by a son, Haywood Waters, and daughter-in-law, Shirley Waters, of Forestville, Md.; two daughters, Mildred Davis of Los Angeles, Calif., and Brenda Waters of Pittsburgh, Pa.; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Thelma Artis of Fremont and Eloise Logan of Philadelphia; two sisters-in-law, a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church on U.S. 13, Goldsboro.
The viewing hours will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hamilton Funeral Chapel in Goldsboro.
