WALTER EVANS
SELMA -- Walter Clifton "Walt" Evans, 94, died Sunday morning at Johnston Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be conducted tonight at 7 in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Princeton. The Rev. Dwight Dunning will officiate. Burial will be on Tuesday morning at 10 at Bizzell Grove Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Evans was born in Johnston County to the late James Thomas Ingram Evans and Ava Ann Daughtry Evans. He was a retired farmer and barber and was a member of Bizzell Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Surviving are his wife, Lizzie Wilkins Evans; sons, Hugh Evans of Cary and Maurice Evans of Raleigh, daughters, Faye Kittrell of Wilson, Carol Cuddington of Goldsboro and Margie Rowe of Ahoskie; and five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service tonight.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bizzell Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church, 4700 Bizzell Grove Church Road, Princeton, NC 27569.
