Wayne County sheriff deputies seized 300 grams of cocaine and charged three people for drug-related offenses Sunday.
Deputy Kaitlin Martinez, with the Wayne County Sheriff's Office, was reportedly on patrol in the southern area of the county Sunday when she stopped a vehicle along U.S. 117 South for an equipment violation and for exceeding the posted speed limit.
When Martinez approached the vehicle, she smelled a strong odor of marijuana. A search of the vehicle turned up a large amount of cocaine that weighed approximately 300 grams along with a glass jar, which contained an ounce of suspected marijuana.
Three people, including two from Pennsylvania and one from Florida, were arrested and placed in the Wayne County Detention Center, each under a $400,000 secured bond.
Dennis Eric Kreashko, 54, of 596 Evergreen Road, and Holly Paige Haslett, 21, of 57 Kiski Ave., both in Leechburg, Pennsylvania, and Felecia Mae Haslett, 52, of 830 Wyatt St. in Clearwater, Florida, were each charged with two counts of trafficking cocaine and possession of marijuana of more than half an ounce.
Maj. Richard Lewis, with the Wayne County Sheriff's Office, said that the $400,000 bond amounts were set at that level due to the large amount of cocaine that was found inside the vehicle.
