State, local offices to close

State and local offices will be closed Friday, March 30, in observance of the Good Friday holiday while federal offices, banks and post offices will be open.
All Wayne County offices and the landfill will be closed Friday while all Wayne County Public Library branches and the Peggy M. Seegars Senior will be closed Friday and Saturday.
The Goldsboro-Wayne Transportation Authority will operate on a Saturday schedule on Friday.
Buses will operate from 9:30 a.m. and the last buses will leave the transfer center at 5:30 p.m. Vans will be providing medical and Americans with Disabilities Act trips only.
City of Goldsboro offices will be closed Friday, and solid waste services originally planned Friday were serviced two days earlier, on Wednesday. No bulk waste pickup services will be provided in the city for the week.
Mount Olive town offices will be closed on Friday. The Recyclable Center will also be closed and will re-open at 8 a.m. Saturday, March 31.
Household garbage pickup was Wednesday, March 28, and today, due to the landfill being closed.
Town halls will be closed Friday in Walnut Creek and Pikeville. Because of the closing there will be no Friday trash pickup in Pikeville.
Fremont town offices will be closed Monday, April 2. There will be no trash pickup that day.
Eureka Town Hall will not close for the holiday.
Wayne Community College will be closed from Friday, March 30, through Monday, April 2.
Spring break for students and faculty includes those days and continues through April 8, but the college will be open and staff will be on duty April 3-6, closing at 1 p.m. that Friday, officials said.
