Making a Difference

Each year, the Goldsboro News-Argus takes an in-depth look at what the people of Wayne County are doing through cooperation and collaboration.
The Progress 2018 edition highlights people, organizations and movements that are making a difference -- and they are in more ways than one. Some of the people who have been spotlighted in this edition who are making a difference have a well of compassion for the people they are helping because of their own life experiences. Some of the groups highlighted in this edition were created after the organizers saw the need in the community, and -- instead of waiting for someone else to change it -- they took up the mantle. And some of the people featured in this edition are the ones that will listen and offer a guiding hand and a shoulder to lean on.
There are hundreds of ways to effect change, and each person and group highlighted in the 2018 Progress edition of The Goldsboro News-Argus has, indeed, done what they set out to do -- they are making their communities better, stronger and more kind.
