Home on North Running Deer Circle shot into on New Year's Day

The new year started off with the wrong kind of excitement for three people in the 100 block of North Running Deer Circle when their home was hit by gunfire.
The victims -- a man, woman and 9-year-old child -- were all in the back bedroom watching new year's festivities on television when they heard gunshots at about 12:33 a.m. Monday.
They then heard something hitting the roof of their home, according to a report on the incident.
The man walked out of the bedroom and saw a bullet on the floor in the living room/kitchen area of the home, and called 911 to report the incident.
Nobody was injured during the incident.
A detective came to the scene and collected the bullet as evidence.
