One cited, one charged for drug offenses

One person is facing charges and another was cited after allegedly trying to throw drugs out the back door of a house when officers showed up to search the home Thursday.
Brooke Rheanu Martin, 20, of 802 W. Grantham St., is charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of heroin.
Nathaniel Britt was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Members of the Wayne County Sheriff's Office Aggressive Criminal Enforcement Team were asked to help Probation and Parole search a house at 2206 Arrington Bridge Road.
A press release said a corporal stationed himself at the back of the house and reportedly saw people throwing things out the back door, which turned out to be drugs and paraphernalia.
There were four people in the house at the time, but Martin and Britt claimed ownership of the items, according to the release, and were cited and charged accordingly.
Martin was given a $3,000 secured bond.
