Man robbed of handgun on Wilmington Avenue by gunman

Police are investigating after a man was robbed at gunpoint in the 500 block of Wilmington Avenue Thursday, according to a Goldsboro Police Department report.
According to the report, the victim reported that three black men approached him on the 500 block of Wilmington Avenue while the victim was sitting in his car around 5 p.m. Thursday.
One of them pointed a handgun at the victim and took the victim's own weapon, a black and silver 9 mm Smith & Wesson handgun.
The three suspects then fled west on Wilmington Avenue, according to the report.
Police are searching for a black man, approximately 18 years old, around 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing around 120 pounds. The suspect has black hair in dreadlocks and brown eyes, according to the report.
