The Wayne County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a man allegedly stole over $1,500 in technology and furniture from a home Wednesday evening, according to a sheriff's office report.

Sheriff's office deputies responded Wednesday to a call on Thrasher Circle about a home being broken in to there. The victim told the deputies that a man had entered his home and stolen an Element 64-inch flat screen TV, an Element 42-inch flat screen TV, a Playstation 4, a Sanyo DVD player, two lounge chairs and a pair of sneakers. The total value of the stolen items was estimated at $1,630.

Though there were no signs of forced entry into the home, the victim told the officers that he had not given the suspect a key. He did not see the suspect take the items, but he had seen electronic messages from the suspect trying to sell the stolen items, according to the report.
