Man injured in shooting at Bees Town on Slocumb Street

Goldsboro police are investigating a shooting at the Beestown Mart at 905 S. Slocumb St. that left a man injured Thursday night.
Vernon Linwood Faison Jr., 25, was shot in the buttocks.
Police responded to a ShotSpotter alert at the business at about 8:22 p.m. Thursday.
While they were on the way, the call got upgraded to a person shot.
Faison was taken to Wayne UNC Health care in a private car prior to officers arriving on scene.
A police report said Faison was only shot once on the left side of his buttocks.
The investigation is ongoing.
