Wayne County Sheriff's deputies responding to a complaint about a man growing marijuana at his home on Ann Street recovered 35 marijuana plants Friday.

A press release issued Sunday said three firearms and 360 grams of marijuana were also seized.

Richard Carlyle Strickland, 62, of 203 Ann St., was arrested and placed under a $10,000 secured bond on charges of manufacturing marijuana, possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, and maintaining a dwelling for the sale or use of a controlled substance.

Strickland is also charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

The press release said members of the sheriff's office Aggressive Criminal Enforcement (ACE) team went to Strickland's home and conducted a "knock and talk" to investigate the complaint against him.

Strickland was arrested after the officers were given consent to search the premises and the guns and drugs were discovered, according to the release.
