A man allegedly poured bleach on his former girlfriend this morning, according to a Goldsboro police report.
The man, who is the father of the woman's child, pushed and shoved the woman after the two began arguing in the 700 block of Pittman Street at 3:40 a.m.
According to the report, the man then grabbed a bottle of bleach and "poured it over her."
Maj. Anthony Carmon could not confirm where the bleach was poured specifically, but he said the woman would not have sustained life threatening injuries from bleach.
According to the report, EMS arrived to treat the woman for minor injuries, but the woman refused treatment.
Officers informed the woman how to take warrants out on the man.
Carmon said the man was not arrested because officers did not see him pour the bleach on the woman.
"We cannot arrest anyone for a misdemeanor that happened outside of our presence," he said.
