A woman who allegedly stole headphones at U.S. Cellular earlier this week was arrested at the store Thursday.

Crystal Smith Ezzell, 30, of 105 Dee Dee Place, entered the store April 11, and April 17, with an infant child and stole the headphones worth $679.98, according to a Goldsboro Police report.

Ezzell returned to the store, located at 803 N. Berkeley Blvd. Suite B, Thursday, and employees recognized her.

Maj. Anthony Carmon was unable to confirm if Ezzell had an infant child with her at the store before her arrest.

They also saw Ezzell cutting a box containing Beats headphones, according to a recent report.

"I don't know what kind of cutting tool she had, or if she used something from the store," Carmon said.

Store employees called 911, and officers arrived to see Ezzell walking in the store. According to the report, officers asked for her name, and Ezzell said, "Ashley Smith."

Ezzell later told officers her maiden name is Ashley.

According to the report, Ezzell left the cut box on the shelf, and store employees were able to recover the headphones.

Ezzell was arrested, and she is charged with attempted larceny. She was given a $500 secured bond.
