Officials with the Walnut Creek Country Club said the facility closed out another successful year in 2016.
With almost 500 members, the club continues to exceed its budget expectations and expand programs in tennis, pool, golf, and other member services.
The tennis program now features five hydro-clay courts, a hard tennis court, and a pickleball court. A junior USTA tournament will be held on April 29-30. Three summer tennis camps are also planned for youth in June and July.
The golf course is currently undergoing major changes in preparation for reshaping and converting its greens from bent grass to Bermuda grass, beginning at the end of April.
At its annual general membership meeting the club elected three new members to its board of directors members: Jason Pate, Dr. Thurston Greenwood and Al Grisette.
The rest of the board of directors includes Dr. Bud Fidler, Jess Parks, Ken Ritt, Paul Nunn, Jeff Wharton, Bonnie Hunter, Duane Noll and Dr. Joe Democko.
