Authorities arrested a man Tuesday accused of stealing a bass guitar from a church, according to a Wayne County Sheriff's Office press release.
Joseph Edward Joyner-Sturgeon, 21, of 105 Miller St., is charged with obtaining property by false pretense, larceny and possession of stolen goods/property.
The release said the sheriff's office received a report of an Ibanez bass guitar being stolen from Brogden Chapel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church at 1060 Emmaus Church Road on Dec. 1, 2016.
Following an investigation, authorities secured warrants on Joyner-Sturgeon for the theft and arrested him this week.
He was given a $5,000 secured bond on the charges.
