Teenager charged with break-ins

A 14-year-old is facing felony charges after authorities say the juvenile broke into Rosewood High School and another business on U.S. 70 West in the same day.
According to a press release, the white, male teenager stole $1,600 worth of property from the high school Friday but did not take anything from the unnamed business on U.S. 70 West.
The Wayne County Sheriff's Office developed the 14-year-old as a suspect after an investigation into the incidents.
The release said the property stolen from the school was recovered and returned.
Juvenile petitions will be filed with the N.C. Department of Juvenile Justice/Department of Public Safety and the investigation into the breaking and entering cases continues, the release said.
The 14-year-old is charged with two counts of felony breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering and possession of stolen goods.
