Kinston man charged with drug possession

Authorities arrested a man for various drug charges after searching his vehicle during a traffic checkpoint this weekend.
Shawn Douglas Taylor, 23, of Kinston is charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana and felony maintaining a motor vehicle for the purpose of controlled substances. He was placed in the Wayne County Jail under $6,000 bond.
