Wayne Community College inducts 48 new members to international honors society

Wayne Community College's Upsilon Chi chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society for two-year colleges, inducted 48 new members recently.

Phi Theta Kappa members represent the top 10 percent of students enrolled in two-year schools. To be invited into the society, WCC students must show academic achievement with a minimum grade point average of 3.5 and have completed at least 16 hours of associate degree course work. They also must demonstrate good citizenship characteristics.

Fall 2016 inductees include Amanda Abrams, Ali Alalofi, Waheba Alihanshali, Katlyn Batts, Jacob Bryant, Cassandra Christman, Sam Clark, Gamal Dabwan, Dana-Lou Daniels, Ashley Dos Santos, Lindsay Elmore, Lauren French, Howard Gilbert, Carson Gooding, Hannah Greer, Irma Hernandez, Emily Hill, Rachel Holland, Cassandra Jara, Hunter Kaler, Ashley King, Zachary King, John Kinsey, Cailee Ladd, Joshua Lancaster,  Denise Littlejohn, Virginia Mayo, Breionna McCuller,  Samantha McFee, Stephanie Mills, Aziah Morales, Paige Morning,  Luis Ortiz, Maria Ortiz, Mia Owens,   Megan Parrish, Olivia Patterson, Jennifer Pittman, Lexie Reyes, Mary Smith, Keith Spivey, Jamie Stephens, Noah Stewart, Katherine Stocks, Amy Todd, Ryan Underwood, Danny Warren and  David Williamson.
