Traffic stop leads to arrest

A Saturday traffic stop ended in a convicted felon being arrested for having a gun.
According to a press release, Wayne County sheriff's deputies stopped Travis M. Davis, 40, of 402 S. William St., Saturday on William Street.
Deputies searched the vehicle and found a .32 caliber revolver concealed near the driver's seat, the release said.
Davis is charged with possession of a firearm by a felon and driving while license revoked.
He was given a $6,500 secured bond and placed in the Wayne County Detention Center.
