The North Carolina State Retirees Club has canceled the trip to the State Fair on Oct. 18.
HIGH SCHOOL CAREER FAIR
The Wayne County Public Schools high school career fair scheduled for Thursday has been canceled until further notice.
COMMUNITY AFFAIRS COMMISSION CANCELED
The City of Goldsboro Community Affairs Commission meeting on Oct. 11 has been canceled.
PARKS AND RECREATION ADVISORY COMMITTEE
The City of Goldsboro Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee meeting for Oct. 11 has been canceled.
GOLDSBORO YOUTH COUNCIL
The Goldsboro Youth Council meeting slated for Oct. 12 and Oct. 19 has been canceled.

United Way of Wayne County's 26th Annual Taste of Wayne County has been canceled.
WAYNE'S CHAPEL
Wayne's Chapel Church of God of Prophecy has postponed a barbecue lunch and harvest sale that were to have been held this Saturday. They have been rescheduled to Saturday, Oct. 29, at the church, 3556 Emmaus Church Road, Mount Olive. The barbecued pork lunch will run from noon to 3 p.m. followed by the harvest sale at 4 p.m. featuring baked goods and a variety of other items.
EASTERN RADIOLOGIST'S BREAST CANCER BENEFIT MOTORCYCLE RIDE
Eastern Radiologist will be holding the 2016 event, originally scheduled for this weekend, Oct. 15. The bike ride will begin at the Breast Imaging Center located at 2101 W Arlington Blvd. Greenville. Bikers will roar their engines at 9:30 a.m. and begin their 100 mile journey throughout Eastern North Carolina. While the riders cruise the east there will be concessions, a live radio remote with WRNS, raffle prizes, baked goods and a 50/50 drawing. The event will be open to the public and non-motorcycle riders are encouraged to come participate as well.
EUREKA UNITED METHODIST CHURCH ANNUAL FALL FUNDRAISER
Eureka United Methodist Church, 128 N. Church St., Eureka, has changed the date of the annual BBQ/Chicken Fall Fundraiser due to projected inclement weather. The date of Saturday, October 8th, has been changed to Saturday, October 15th, from 4:00-6:-00 p.m. Plates are $8.00. Eat in or take out available. A live auction will begin at 6:30 p.m.

The Wayne County Farm Bureau Annual Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 11 at 6 p.m. at the Wayne Center has been re-scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 3, at 6 p.m. at the Wayne Center.
