Wayne Community College nonprofit training available

Wayne Community College Continuing Education Services will offer a certificate program this fall for people who want to start or run a nonprofit organization.
The Nonprofit Management Certificate Program consists of 14 class sessions designed to teach how to grow and manage non-profit organizations. Students who successfully complete the course will receive a WCC Nonprofit Certificate and earn 4.3 Continuing Education Units.
Class topics include introduction to non-profit business/how to start your nonprofit, creating a non-profit corporation in North Carolina and developing bylaws, completing the 501(c)(3) process, selecting and developing a supportive board, developing a strategic plan, fundraising 101 and 102, grant writing 101 and 102, crowd fundraising, marketing your non-profit, developing a volunteer team, partnering, collaborating and community organizing and preventing embezzlement.
Sessions will be held on Tuesdays, Sept. 27-Dec. 13, from 6-9 p.m. in Room 213 of the Wayne Learning Center at WCC. Cost is $125.
Students may register and pay the fee in advance at the Continuing Education Division's customer service desk in the Walnut Building or online at www.waynecc.edu/continuing-ed/register/.
