The Goldsboro driver's license office of the N.C. Division of Motor Vehicles will be closed Aug. 23 and 24 for equipment installation and renovations.
The office, off U.S. 70 at 701 W. Grantham St., will reopen to the public on Aug. 25 at 8 a.m., according to a DMV news release. The office is one of 25 across the state that will undergo a new office design that includes the installation of cubicles and ergonomic bench seating to increase customer comfort. Informational posters and a multi-function printer will be added to increase office efficiencies. An interior wall will be removed to allow for additional customer seating.
DMV will also complete office upgrades at another 50 locations by the end of November. Customers are able to receive services, including license renewals, online at www.ncdot.gov/dmv.
During the office closing in Goldsboro, customers can visit other driver's license locations in Mount Olive, 110 N. Chestnut St.; Kinston, 2214 W. Vernon Ave.; Smithfield, 3783 U.S. 301 South; and Wilson, 1822 Goldsboro St.
