A head-on collision on Stoney Creek Parkway between Elm Street and Harris Street on Tuesday afternoon sent four people to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
The wreck happened when a black Chevrolet Trailblazer heading toward Elm Street on Stoney Creek Parkway allegedly veered into oncoming traffic and struck a white Chevrolet Traverse head on.
Patricia Thomas Wright, of 409 Twin Creeks Drive, was reportedly driving the Trailblazer that struck the Traverse, which was reportedly driven by Laura Marie Reitz, according to an police report.
After the two cars collided, the Trailblazer careened into the ditch along the side of the road and the Traverse came to a stop in the opposite lane.
The Trailblazer sustained $12,000 worth of damage, according to the accident report, and the Traverse sustained $15,000 in damages.
Traffic access to the stretch of road was blocked for roughly half an hour.
Jay Holland, with the Goldsboro Police Department, said speed was not a factor in the wreck and that the cause of the collision was possibly a medical emergency.
Wright was cited for driving left of center, the report said.
