Thief steals $1,810 in cigarettes

An unknown suspect reportedly stole 36 cartons of cigarettes from Murphy Express at 103 N.C. 581 South on Friday just after 2 a.m.
The suspect allegedly threw a rock through the window of a door at the business, entered the store, stole the cartons of cigarettes -- valued at $1,810 -- and fled the scene in an unknown vehicle.
