A Goldsboro man was arrested late Saturday night for allegedly breaking into several vehicles at Neese's Country Sausage and taking more than 20 pounds of pork product.

Roger Raynor, 55, of 1701 N. George St., was arrested and charged with four counts of felony breaking and entering to a motor vehicle, resisting, delaying or obstructing an officer, larceny and first degree trespassing. He was placed under a $9,500 secured bond.

After the incident was reported, Raynor was found riding a bicycle down the 1300 block of North George Street, heading south. Raynor attempted to flee when officers tried to stop him.

When officers stopped Raynor, he was carrying a large bag and had 15 pounds of single sliced bacon and a 9-pound box of sausage patties in his possession.

Maj. Anthony Carmon with the Goldsboro Police Department said he was not sure why officers stopped Raynor while he was riding his bike more than a mile away from Neese's Country Sausage, but said that Raynor was known by police.

Raynor allegedly entered the Neese's Country Sausage property at 2009 U.S. 117 North Bypass through a fence on the south side by lifting a portion of the fence and propping it up with a wooden fence post.

After entering the property, Raynor allegedly broke into three different Chevrolet Silverado trucks and one unsecured trailer belonging to Neese's Country Sausage. All four vehicles were refrigerated, which is where Raynor allegedly took the products.

The total value of the pork product that was stolen has an estimated value of $150.
