The popular musical duo Eric and Laura Olli, will join their sons Payton and Mikey to present a gospel music event in Benson on Saturday.
The Eric and Laura Ollis Memorial Day Homecoming Celebration will take place at the Stone's Creek Advent Christian Church, located at 343 Woods Crossroads Road in Benson, during Memorial Day weekend.
For a quarter century, Eric Ollis has been a mainstay in the Southern gospel music world. The pianist traveled for 15 years as a member of the multiaward-winning Dixie Melody Boys, and in 2004 Eric became a member of the popular musical family The Whisnants. In 2011, Eric embarked upon a new adventure when he and his wife, Laura, began their own family musical ministry with the assistance of their oldest son, Payton. Together, the family has accepted the calling to travel wherever the opportunity arises to share the message of the gospel in song. Additionally, Laura has become a published author and songwriter and has become an increasingly popular speaker at many women's conferences and events.
Joining the Ollis family at their Memorial Day Homecoming Celebration will be popular quartet The Harvesters as well as male vocalist Ron Hise. Also to be featured will be the Stone's Creek Choir.
This musical event will begin at 7 p.m., with doors opening at 6 p.m. Complete information may be obtained by calling 910-588-5542 or visiting www.ericandlauraollis.com.
