Four charged in Wayne Pharmacy robbery

Four men were arrested by law enforcement Wednesday afternoon following a traffic stop on N.C. 44 on the suspicion of being connected to the May 8 armed robbery of Wayne Pharmacy at 2303 Wayne Memorial Drive.
Edgar Angel Toledano, 20, of 503 Linen Lane, and Jesus Reymundo Toledano, 19, of 2251 Grantham School Road, Mount Olive, were arrested and each charged with felony robbery with a dangerous weapon and felony trafficking a schedule I controlled substance. Jesus was also charged with felony probation violation and placed under a $320,000 secured bond, while Edgar was placed under a $300,000 bond.
Jaime Elias Toledano, 17, of 3708 Wayne Memorial Drive, and Jose Luis Fonseca, 31, also of 3708 Wayne Memorial Drive, were also arrested during the traffic stop and charged with trafficking a schedule I controlled substance.
The three Toledano men are brothers.
Guns were drawn on the men as officers approached the car.
"They conducted a felony traffic stop and they were trying to arrest someone who was considered armed and dangerous, so yes, their guns were drawn," said Maj. Anthony Carmon with the Goldsboro Police Department.
Nobody was injured during the traffic stop.
The men were charged with trafficking in opium because drugs were seized during the traffic stop that were suspected of being the drugs that were stolen from Wayne Pharmacy during the May 8 robbery.
Edgar and Jesus are suspected of entering Wayne Pharmacy at 1:10 p.m. on May 8 while wearing face masks and brandishing handguns before demanding everyone in the business get on the ground, and stealing an undetermined amount of money and various types of pharmaceutical drugs.
Nobody was injured during the armed robbery.
